Although I’ve been a member of the SWPP, (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers), for the last six months or so I’ve only taken the opportunity to enter my images into a couple of their monthly competitions.
This month I entered a photograph of Millie enjoying her time on West Kirby beach, into the Pet Photography competition, and I’m very pleased to report that I received a Silver Award.
Update – I’m really pleased to say that following the annual review, that is used to determine if Silver awards should be upgraded, the SWPP have upgraded this image to a Gold. This means that the image will be submitted for the Annual Pet Photographer of the Year Awards for 2011. I’m so very pleased, let’s hope I can achieve more Golds in 2011.

As our two Springers are so special to us, I’m not shy to admit that they do spend a lot of time in front of my camera. Why not consider a beautiful framed canvas print or something even larger for your wall.
